There may soon be a time when falling in love with robots is no longer just a story in the movie.

This is because humanoid robots that resemble humans meet with generative artificial intelligence and can communicate more naturally.

Reporter Lee Kyung-ah reports.

It is the latest humanoid robot 'Aria' made by an American manufacturer.

It was created for use in various tasks such as education, medical care, and customer response.

" Questioner: If you have any interesting facts, would you please let me know?"

Let's ask the question,

" Aria: Do you know that honey never goes bad?"

I reply with wit.

You can have everyday conversations with natural gestures like humans.

This is because the robot contains a generative artificial intelligence technology that creates new data by itself based on the learned data.

[Matt McMullen / Founder of Real Botics: There have been many stories of people who have relationships with AI-generated personalities without robots. I thought I was missing the physical representation of my digital personality.]

Not only can you follow a person's gaze, but you can also recognize a specific person's face and read their facial expressions.

The manufacturer expects that these technologies will allow people to build closer relationships with robots.

[Matt McMullen / Founder of Real Botics] Lonely people want to connect with someone, but it's not just through the screen. I think human-like robotic technology can be a channel for such interactions.

Equipped with the latest artificial intelligence technology, the robot will appear at CES 2025, a technology fair that opens this week in Las Vegas.
