A fire broke out at Cheonggye Tool Market in Jangsa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul at around 3:10 a.m. today.
The fire forced 57 people, including guests from a hotel right next to the mall, to evacuate themselves, but no one has been confirmed to be injured.
The fire authorities issued the first stage of response in about two hours, mobilizing both the personnel and equipment of the competent fire department, and in three and a half hours, the fire was contained.
Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire after extinguishing it.
