The policy of converting children's school buses from diesel cars to electric cars has been partially suspended.

The Ministry of Environment recently excluded medium and large school buses with more than 16 passengers or a total weight of 3.5 tons from the restriction on the use of diesel cars under the Air Management Area Act.

In addition to newly reporting medium- and large-sized diesel buses as school buses for children, they also allowed buses that had already been reported to continue operating.

It seems to reflect the situation where it is difficult to purchase electric buses due to the lack of supply of electric buses, and related concerns have grown due to the electric vehicle fire in the underground parking lot of the Incheon apartment building last summer.
