Hyundai Motor Group was the only carmaker with a new model added.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has released a list of electric vehicles that can receive tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act and the IRA, a total of 25, down 15 from last year.
Hyundai Motor Group was Hyundai Motor and Kia last year. None of the Genesis was eligible for the grant, but all three brands were initially listed as eligible for tax credits this time.
There are five types of Hyundai Motor's Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 9, Kia EV6 and EV9, and Genesis GV70.
They will receive a $7,500 grant to meet the IRA's battery and core mineral requirements.
Hyundai Motor Group has been producing electric vehicles in Georgia since late last year at Hyundai Motor Group's Metaplant America and Kia's Georgia plants.
There are eight domestic battery companies equipped with LG Energy Solution's batteries and eight SK temperatures that will benefit from this regulation.
Last year, Germany's Volkswagen Group received subsidies from 10 vehicles, including Volkswagen and Audi, but all of them were excluded from the list.
U.S. electric vehicle brand Rivian also removed all seven vehicles from the list, while Nissan also removed one vehicle from the grant list.
