Park Jong-joon, the head of the Presidential Security Service, said, "It is dereliction of duty to comply with the execution of arrest warrants amid controversy over expediency and illegality in judicial proceedings, and if there is an error in judgment, I will take responsibility."

Minister Park issued a statement today, saying that the impeachment motion of President Yoon Suk Yeol has been passed by the National Assembly, but the incumbent president selected by the people is clear and is receiving corresponding security as set by law.

He said he would also take judicial responsibility, saying that the security service, which takes the president's absolute safety as its value, considered it a abandonment of the president's security and dereliction of duty to comply with the execution of the warrant.

Director Park explained that he politely asked the prosecutor in charge of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, who executed the arrest warrant on the 3rd, to explain the security service's position in detail, and to be cautious in law enforcement in consideration of the current presidential status and the status of the Republic of Korea reflected in foreign media.

He also claimed that he took measures to prevent any violence or physical conflict during the confrontation between arrest warrant execution investigators and bodyguards.

The security office then said it was not trying to interfere with the law enforcement of the investigative agency, and that the partisan ideology of conservative and progressive had nothing to do with the security office.

In particular, the security agency emphasized that it will continue to devote its efforts to securing the safety of the president selected by the people, whether former or incumbent presidents or future presidents.
