Flights were disrupted due to snow in the UK...some regional power outages

Snowfall has caused a series of damage across the UK since the afternoon of the 4th local time, causing disruptions to aircraft operations.

Airports in Manchester, northwestern England, Liverpool, central Birmingham, and western Bristol once closed their runways due to heavy snow and resumed operations on the morning of the 5th.

Northern Leeds Bradford Airport, on the other hand, said it would keep the runway closed until further notice.

Roads have also been closed across the UK and power outages have occurred in central, southwestern England and southern Wales, with power restoration underway.

The Met Office predicted 12cm of snow fell overnight in the northern English region of Bingley and up to 30cm in most of Wales and the northern English highlands.Some rural areas located at an altitude of more than 300m in
