Israel has sent out a soldier from the country who has been investigated for war crimes in Brazil.

Israel's Foreign Ministry said on the 5th local time that it helped a discharged soldier who was investigated by "anti-Israeli molecules" last week to leave Brazil safely on a civil flight.

It also warned Israelis not to post what happened while serving in the military on social media.

The Associated Press reported earlier that Brazilian authorities have launched an investigation after the Hind Rajab Foundation, named after a 5-year-old Palestinian girl who died in Gaza, accused a soldier of participating in the destruction of civilian homes.

The foundation, which accused the soldier based on videos, location data and photos, said the investigation was a "groundbreaking step to punish crimes committed in Gaza."

Brazilian authorities have yet to comment on Israel's announcement.

The investigation was launched on the 30th of last month, but it was reported to the media only over the weekend.

The International Criminal Court earlier issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on war crimes charges, but Brazil's investigation has drawn attention as an example that ordinary Israeli soldiers could also be charged abroad.

Many Israeli soldiers have posted videos online of destroying or burning homes in Gaza, with some chanting racist slogans.

In response, the Israeli military has said it will discipline some individuals, calling them deviations.
