The final vote for the new chairman of the Korean Medical Association, the only legal doctors' group, will be held for two days from tomorrow (7th) to the day after tomorrow.

Kim Taek-woo, president of the National Council of Provincial Doctors and Ju Su-ho, head of the Future Medical Forum, who is classified as a hardliner of the government, will face off in the final round.

In the first round of voting from the 2nd to the 4th, candidate Kim won 27.66% and candidate Joo won 26.17%, ranking first and second.

The vote closes at 6 p.m. the day after tomorrow, and the winner will be announced the day after tomorrow evening.

The election comes after former chairman Lim Hyun-taek, who took office in May last year, was impeached in six months amid controversy over verbal abuse and communication.
