A survey showed that half of the youth and young people in family care in Gyeonggi Province are responsible for the livelihood of their families by taking care of and working at the same time.

Family care youth and youth refer to youth and youth who have to take care of family members instead of parents due to the death, divorce, and separation of parents, disabilities, diseases, and mental disorders of family members, including parents.

According to a survey conducted by Gyeonggi-do Province and the Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation from February to November last year on 1,213 family care youth and young people aged 13 to 34 living in the province with Gallup Korea, women accounted for 59% of the gender, more than men 41%.

In particular, 51.9% of the respondents were found to be doing family care and labor at the same time.
