Lee Jae-myung said, "Malicious and false claims must be rooted out in the airliner disaster."

Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, stressed that the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster is full of malicious comments and that a strict investigation and rooting out must be done.

Representative Lee said at the Supreme Council that the national mourning period for the aviation disaster has ended, but the sadness is not over.

He then criticized the painful bereaved families, saying, "How can you write malicious comments and insult and destroy them with false claims? Such actions destroy communities and destroy humanity."

Lee added that he will do his best to prevent this from happening again, including enacting a special law.
