Actor Lee Dong-wook told how he came to appear in Woo Min-ho's film "Harbin."

Lee Dong-wook held an interview to commemorate the release of the movie "Harbin" at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 6th. The movie "Harbin," which was released in theaters on the 24th of last month, has been cruising for 13 consecutive days at the top of the box office. It is expected to exceed 4 million viewers this week.

Lee Dong-wook made a special appearance in Harbin as Lee Chang-seop, an independent soldier. Lee Chang-seop, played by him, confronted Ahn Jung-geun (Hyun Bin), but he was an independent soldier who had the same belief in protecting his country, and Lee Dong-wook showed a strong presence.

Considering that he has been active mainly in romantic comedies and fantasy genres, it is a new transformation. Lee Dong-wook revealed the behind-the-scenes story that it was not difficult to decide to appear because there was a proposal from director Woo Min-ho, who directed "Harbin."

Lee Dong-wook said, "I had a chance to meet the production company CEO and director Woo Min-ho in a private meeting, but that day, we just had a pleasant conversation and parted. After that, he suggested playing the role of "Lee Chang-seop" and said that he would be able to show a new side of himself," he said.

He said, "Director Woo Min-ho said he watched almost all of the dramas I did. In particular, he said that he was impressed by "Others Are Hell" because it was a new look, and because it was a call from director Woo Min-ho, I made an easy decision (to appear)."

However, he explained, "I don't think the appearance in 'Others Are Hell' is in contact with the role in 'Harbin,'" adding, "I think he gave me an offer because he showed a different image from his previous image, and 'Harbin' is a story of the independence forces, so I tried to be serious."

Lee Dong-wook worked with Hyun Bin for the first time through this work. He said, "I was serious in the field, and I also had leadership as the lead. Even if I felt reassured just by watching it from the side, I liked the way the eyes and breathing came and went," he praised.

He also praised Park Jung-min, who worked with him. Lee Dong-wook said, "Actor Park Jung-min is usually very quiet, but I thought it was cool to suddenly change and throw energy when acting. He added, "I wanted to learn because I also have a unique sense of relaxation."
