Baek Dong-heum, deputy head of the Special Forces, said today (6th) that he judged that there was a legal controversy as a result of an internal legal review on the "execution command of arrest warrants and search warrants" received from the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

At the same time, he explained that he would continue to discuss the execution of the arrest warrant with the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

At the same time, the police special team said that the investigation is strictly conducted in accordance with laws and principles under the joint investigation headquarters system, and stressed that it will continue to do its best in related investigations, including the execution of arrest warrants.

Earlier at around 7 a.m. today, the special task force received an official letter from the Airborne Service that said it was entrusted to the police to execute arrest warrants based on the Airborne Service Act and the Criminal Procedure Act.

In a closed meeting, a special team official added that the execution of the arrest warrant is clear to the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, and it is legally problematic to entrust the police with the execution of the warrant.

He added that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit also accepted this position to some extent, so the execution of warrants against the president will take place under a coordinated system as it did at the time of the first execution on the 3rd.
