Hyundai Motor held a New Year's party in 2025 with about 200 executives and employees, including Chairman Chung Eui-sun, Vice Chairman Jang Jae-hoon, and CEO Jose Munoz.

Initially, Hyundai Motor planned to hold a New Year's party on the 3rd, but it was postponed to today in consideration of the national mourning period for the Jeju Air disaster.

At the New Year's party, Chairman Chung praised last year's performance but said that there are inevitable challenges waiting this year, and that he cannot afford to be optimistic.

He also stressed that while challenges and uncertainties do not have to dampen, optimism and complacency make us more dangerous than any other external crisis, and that we must prepare closely to create future opportunities.

Regarding the appointment of a foreign CEO for the first time this year, he said, "We will create an environment in which a competent person can become a leader regardless of nationality, gender, or educational background."
