The high-ranking government official's criminal investigation office, which announced that it would appoint the police to execute an arrest warrant for Yoon Suk Yeol's president, has withdrawn its position in seven hours.

The Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit issued its position this afternoon (6th) and said it sent an official letter because it judged that the prosecutor of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit did not exclude the authority to execute the warrant against the police.

However, he added that he agrees with the National Investigation Headquarters of the police on the fact that there should be no small controversy in such a serious case investigation.

In the meantime, he virtually reversed this morning's announcement that he would entrust the police with the execution of arrest warrants, saying that he would make every effort to execute the warrant under the joint investigation headquarters system.

Earlier, the police expressed their intention to reject the official letter sent by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit last night, saying there was a legal controversy over the execution of the arrest warrant against President Yoon.
