Gyeongsangbuk-do reported that the number of babies born last year was 467, up 35 from the year before.
Gyeongsangbuk-do expects the number of births to increase this year as the number of marriages is on the rise.
Earlier last year, Gyeongsangbuk-do declared "war on low birth rate" and is taking the lead in overcoming the low birth rate problem by promoting the top 100 implementation tasks in six areas to overcome low birth rate.
