"The hottest days of your life?" These are the hottest days, but I don't want to feel the heat.C. If it feels too hot, I don't think I can do what I've been doing. You have to look further."

Through the second season of "Squid Game," which caused syndromes around the world, actor Lee Seo-hwan, who went beyond scene stealers to become an actor of the world's attention, delivered his heart-wrenching feelings and future plans.

'Squid Game' is the most popular film of all time on Netflix, depicting the process of people who participate in a mysterious survival game with a prize money of 45.6 billion won risking their lives to enter the game to become the winner.

Season 2, which came off the veil on the 26th of last month, tells the story of Sung Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae), the winner of the last game, vowing revenge on the game's architect and jumping into survival once again. The work is once again heating up the world, ranking No. 1 in the top 10 global Netflix series in 93 countries within two days of its release.

In particular, actor Lee Seo-hwan, who showed his face as Sung Ki-hoon's friend Park Jung-bae last season, is receiving the love and attention of many viewers by jumping into the game in earnest in this "Squid Game 2."

YTN had an interview with Lee Seo-hwan today (6th) and talked about various things related to the work.

※ The following interviews contain some spoilers from the work. ※

Next is Lee Seo-hwan and Il-A.

Q. Since the second season was released, good results have been made globally, is it as expected?

Lee Seo-hwan: I'm a bit confused, but I was expecting and expecting to some extent. Even though the likes and dislikes are divided, I think it's a relief that many people like it, and I think it's a relief that I played a role among them.

In fact, even I didn't know that I was on the show until the first commercial of 'Squid Game 2' came out. When my friends around me asked me, "Are you coming out?" I said no, but when I thought about it, I thought, "I might come out," so I couldn't sleep.(laughs)
When I first heard from
casting proposal, I said, "Wow! "Wow!" he cried. However, as I read the script, there was so much volume that I vowed to manage my mental well. The moment I felt that the weight of the work and the responsibility I was in charge of were great, I felt that my shoulders would become heavy. So I tried to do it as usual without getting excited and feeling the weight again.

Q. You're appearing in the second season following the first season, and I'm curious how you prepared the Jungbae character.

Lee Seo-hwan: I tried to keep the result in season 1 rather than the difference. Ki-hoon's character changes drastically, but I also thought it wouldn't be fun if it changed. Tried to keep season 1 immature. And considering the setting that he was a former Marine, I practiced by really paying attention to the shooting posture, etc. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk may not know, but he went to a vacant lot behind his house and watched YouTube and practiced his shooting posture.

In particular, the character Jung-bae was built by recalling the "Rooftop Koreans" who protected the Korean mart during the 1992 LA riots. Seeing them protecting the mart, who were usually just old men, I thought it would be cool to implement them. Therefore, I looked for articles and programs about them and studied them.

Q. Since the series was released, interest and love for Jungbae characters have been particularly hot, so what do you think is the reason for fascinating viewers?

Lee Seo-hwan: I expected that unfamiliar actors would get some attention because they are quite a big part of famous actors. However, I never thought that you would like it this much and give me love. I think he likes the character's appearance as if he is returning to the hot days of life by meeting a friend who leaves behind his back at the end of his life.

Q. Then, I wonder when the hottest days of the actor's life were.

Lee Seo-hwan: This is the hottest time, but I don't want to feel the heat. If you feel it's too hot, you won't be able to do what you've been doing and do something else. I think I'll act with strength in my shoulders. I appreciate you saying it got hot around me, but I don't think you should feel that way on your own.

There are things I vaguely dreamed of, but there are more things I can do through the 'Squid Game', so I try to look further. I run a YouTube channel that covers songs with a friend who is good at playing guitar, and I also want to let many people know about that channel. There is a work I wrote as a writer, and I also have a plan that I really want to upload as a play next year.

Q. Were you sad that you couldn't appear in season 3 after leaving season 2?

Lee Seo-hwan: I don't usually show it, but now that it's been like this, I wanted to show my claws with ambition. So I definitely didn't want to die. I wanted the bullet to miss and I wanted to come out in season 3 in some way, but it's a shame.

Q. What does 'Squid Game' mean to actor Lee Seo-hwan?

Lee Seo-hwan: There is a story that the landscape changes when the standing position changes. The 'Squid Game' became an opportunity to show a different landscape. I think it's a double-edged sword. Through the 'Squid Game', works began to come in without auditioning. As responsibility increases and awareness increases, you should be careful about your actions, and you can feel more weight with each line.

Q. It's no exaggeration to say that you're standing at Turning Point as an actor, but what's the weapon of actor Lee Seo-hwan that you think of yourself?

Lee Seo-hwan: I thought my weapon was 'friendly acting' that could be 'tuk' and buried so that viewers could see it without any burden. Actually, that's my weapon, but many people don't remember it. So now I'm thinking about getting some claws up. (laughs)
