The National Assembly's impeachment investigation team refuted the claim that "the crime of rebellion was excluded" from the reason for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol, and that none of the "insurrection acts" included in the impeachment resolution were missing.

Rep. Choi Ki-ki of the Democratic Party, secretary and spokesperson for the prosecution, said in a phone call with YTN that the declaration of martial law and subsequent disorderly conduct of the National Constitutional Court have already been settled as issues in the impeachment trial of the Constitutional Court.

He then suggested that a single crime of rebellion violates both the Constitution and the Criminal Law, but that constitutional evaluation alone is sufficient to conduct an impeachment trial, and the court explained that there was no particular disagreement.

He stressed that there is no change in the impeachment bill at all because he requested that the constitutional arguments be judged among the contents of the impeachment bill.

Choi said, "It is entirely up to the Constitutional Court's judgment to examine the reasons for the prosecution based on what laws and regulations," adding that if the court says it will also conduct a legal evaluation of the crime of civil war under the criminal law, it will of course follow suit.
