Zelensky "Meeting soon after Trump's inauguration...If security is guaranteed, Russia will have a dialogue."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he hopes to meet U.S. President-elect Donald Trump shortly after he takes office on the 20th, and he will attend if he is invited to the inauguration ceremony.

In a podcast interview with U.S. scientist Rex Friedman, Zelensky said he would sit face to face with Trump before anyone else on Jan. 25 or any other day.

He added that the United States could talk to Russia if it proposed strong security guarantees to Ukraine.

Zelenskyy said Trump would be the first leader to fly to Ukraine, where the airport has been closed since Russia's invasion, and that would be symbolic.

He also evaluated Trump as the right person to end the war based on his power and unprecedented influence, which is interpreted as a strategy to end the war in his favor.
