Acting President Choi Sang-mok said he will provide special guarantees to the bereaved families of the Jeju Air plane crash through the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund if they need new funds along with an extension of the loan's maturity.

Acting President Choi held a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for the Jeju Air plane accident this morning (7th) and announced the support policy.

It said it wants to push for support for small business managers and small business victims, and to ease some of the difficulties that bereaved families may face by extending the maturity of existing loans and guarantees, lowering policy funds, lending rates and expanding loan limits.

Using the special fundraising of the Community Chest of Korea, he explained to the bereaved families that he will provide emergency living expenses from January 10.

Acting President Choi said he has formed an integrated psychological support group to support the recovery of the minds of the bereaved families and those who participated in the accident.

According to the will of the bereaved family, we also operate a psychological counseling program in connection with the mental health welfare center in our residence, and for those who continue to have psychological difficulties after counseling, we will support them to recover their daily lives as soon as possible in connection with the National Trauma Center Recovery Program.

The funeral process is gradually being completed, with all the victims being handed over to the bereaved families by yesterday, and even if the funeral process is completed, the government will provide careful support and watch until all the difficulties of the bereaved families are resolved.

Choi said most of the accident site will be completed and investigations and analysis will be conducted in earnest to determine the cause of the accident, and the investigation of the cause of the accident should be conducted objectively and transparently based on laws and international standards based on independence and neutrality.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport maintained this principle and asked that the investigation be carried out quickly and fairly by sharing the progress of the investigation from time to time so that there is no concern for the bereaved families.
