Park Hyung-soo, deputy floor leader of People's Power, said at the National Assembly's floor meeting that he decided to form a special National Assembly committee to prepare countermeasures for Jeju Air's plane disaster.
Kang Yoo-jung, floor spokesman of the Democratic Party of Korea, also told reporters at the National Assembly that they agreed to form a special committee for aviation disasters.
The special committee will consist of 15 members, including seven members of the People's Power, seven members of the Democratic Party, and one non-conservative group, and Kwon Young-jin, a member of the People's Power, will chair the committee.
In the future, the special committee will discuss identifying the cause of the disaster, supporting victims and their families, and measures to prevent recurrence.
