A day before the election for the president of the Korea Football Association, Chung Mong-gyu, who is trying to win his fourth term, declared that he would donate 5 billion won.

Chung said he felt the importance of soccer infrastructure while traveling around the country during the election and said he would donate 5 billion won to the association for the successful completion of the Korea Football Center, a key pledge.

At the same time, he stressed that he would complete construction and create new jobs for soccer players through the three stages of "corporateization-monetization-self-reliance."

The soccer center is currently being built in Cheonan City, South Chungcheong Province, with the goal of completing it this year, and 11 grass fields, mini stadiums, indoor stadiums, and soccer history museums will be built on an area of 478,000 square meters, which is three times the size of Paju NFC.
