Sook-dae, Kim Gun-hee's plagiarism investigation concluded after more than two years

It has been confirmed that Sookmyung Women's University, which is investigating whether Kim Gun-hee plagiarized her master's thesis, concluded more than two years after the start of the investigation and notified Kim of the results.

An official from Sookmyung Women's University explained that the results of the main investigation by the Research Ethics Integrity Committee were recently released, and that the investigator, Kim, was notified.

However, the Sookmyung Democratic Association, the informant who raised the suspicion of plagiarism, said that it was informed that the results came out, but the school also did not inform it.

In response, Sookmyung Women's University explained that the committee decided to inform the investigator of the results first and then inform the informant of the results soon, and that in principle, it is not necessary to notify both sides at the same time.

In addition, he said that he will be notified of the results of this investigation and will receive an objection for 30 days, adding that the results have not been finalized.

Earlier in 2022, Sookmyung Women's University conducted a preliminary investigation after allegations of plagiarism in Kim's master's degree thesis emerged, and then launched a main investigation to investigate whether the thesis was plagiarized.
