Presidential Office Accuses Representative Lee Jae-myung of Innocence

The presidential office has accused Lee Jae-myung and those involved of innocent charges in connection with the Democratic Party's accusation of rebellion against Chief of Staff Chung Jin-seok and others.

The presidential office issued a notification in the name of the spokesman's office today and said that the five people accused of civil war, including Chief of Staff Chung and National Security Office Shin Won-sik, had no prior plans to declare martial law, nor had they reviewed laws related to martial law at all.

He added that he strongly regrets the Democratic Party's dissemination of false information and false accusations by reporting false information to the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit for the purpose of criminal punishment.

On the 3rd, the Democratic Party of Korea's legal committee filed charges against five people, including Chief Jeong, Chief Shin, Senior Secretary for Civil Affairs Kim Joo-hyun, Second Deputy Secretary of the National Security Office In Seong-hwan, and Defense Secretary Choi Byung-ok, Presidential Security Minister Park Jong-joon, Justice Minister Park Sung-jae, and Justice Minister Lee Wan-kyu, on charges of rebellion.
