The first case of the spreading variant of M.Fox infection in Africa was in France.

The French health ministry said in a statement today (7th) that a resident of the province of Brittany had been informed that he had been infected with Type 1b, a sub-system of the new variant of Empox.

The infected person had never traveled directly to Central Africa but had contact with two people who returned from here.

The Ministry of Health explained that the source of the infection is currently being identified and that necessary measures have been taken to prevent further spread.

Empox is an acute exothermic rash disease caused by viral infection.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared an international public health emergency in August last year after the spread of a new variant of M-Fox, which has a high fatality rate and transmission speed in Africa since early last year.
