Kim Jong-un attends completion ceremony of local plant... "Higher goal this year"

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended the completion ceremony of the Jaeryeong County plant, which was established as part of the local development policy, the Korean Central News Agency reported.

At the completion ceremony, Chairman Kim said that holding a series of local industrial plants in 20 cities and counties, including Jaeryeong-gun, is a celebration of the whole country that brings great joy to the people who begin their rewarding journey in the new year.

At the same time, he said local development policies should actually contribute to the improvement of the material welfare of residents, and encouraged them to aim for higher standards this year based on last year's performance.

"Local Power Development 20×10 (20 wins)" first proposed by Chairman Kim in January last year. The policy is to build modern industrial factories in 20 cities and counties every year to develop the basic material and cultural living standards of residents to the next level within 10 years.
