The government has begun an analysis of flight recorders with the United States in connection with the Jeju Air plane disaster.Acting Secretary of Public Administration and Security
Godong said at a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Headquarters that the flight recorder arrived in the United States and began an analysis with the U.S. Transportation Safety Board, including repairs and data extraction.

He also stressed that the South Korea-U.S. joint investigation team is speeding up its investigation into engines and main wings at the site, and that the investigation into the cause of the accident will be conducted objectively and fairly in compliance with relevant international laws and that the results will be disclosed as transparently as possible.

He then said that he would continue to operate the government integrated support center at the Muan International Airport and provide practical support such as various legal counseling and compensation support, tax reduction, emergency care, and education expenses.
