On the 8th, the 11th day of the disaster, there were many booths operating in the waiting rooms on the first and second floors of the Muan Airport building to distribute various items such as food and hygiene products for free, and there were cases of abusing them to take care of items.
A mourner from the metropolitan area to Muan Airport was seen sweeping away daily necessities such as cup noodles, drinks, wipes, toilet paper, toiletries, health masks, socks, underwear and towels after visiting the joint memorial altar.
One volunteer said, "We have not yet grasped the exact situation, but this is the most worrisome thing while operating a booth for providing relief."
He then explained, "Resident groups will gather to discuss countermeasures so that relief products do not fall into the hands of the wrong people."
