The People's Power criticized Lee Sang-sik of the Democratic Party, a former police officer, for confessing to the illegal connection situation on his SNS that he served as a messenger between the party and the National Investigation Headquarters.

Senior spokesman Shin Dong-wook issued a comment, saying that if Lee's article is true, it is a serious illegal act, including a violation of the Constitution's political neutrality obligations, a violation of the Police Officials Act, and abuse of authority.

He then raised suspicions that the behavior so far, including the attempt to arrest President Yoon, was actually made with the Democratic Party's instructions and guidelines, and urged lawmaker Lee to reveal who he had a phone call or meeting with.

The ruling party members of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee also issued a statement, saying that it is no different from lawmaker Lee's confession to the suspicion that the National Assembly responded to the Democratic Party's investigation, and that Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Assembly's National Assembly, should take responsibility and resign.
