The Seoul High Court today (8th) sentenced a doctor identified only by his surname Yeom, to 16 years in prison with a one-year reduction and a fine of 5 million won on charges of violating the medical law.
The court criticized Yeom for abusing his position as a means of satisfying his metamorphic sexual desire, but explained the reason for the sentencing, saying he reflected on the crime and considered depositing a large amount of money.
Yum was arrested in August last year on charges of administering propofol and ketamine to Shin, a driver of the Apgujeong Rolls-Royce case who drove a car under the influence of drugs and killed a passerby, and falsely recording his medical records.
He is also accused of illegally filming about 10 women under anesthesia and sexually assaulting some patients.
Earlier, the first trial sentenced Yeom to 17 years in prison.
