Accordingly, 13 people from 13 departments in 6 classes, including welfare and water and sewage, will check the response performance of each field to prepare for the cold wave.
In order to minimize damage from cold waves, the province added that it asked the city and county to actively promote cold wave behavior such as strengthening safety checks for vulnerable people, preventing crop cold and livestock deaths, and refraining from outdoor activities.
Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province Kim Dong-yeon said, "Please carefully examine the safety of the vulnerable as well as industrial sectors such as agriculture and livestock so that they do not suffer damage."
The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a cold wave warning will take effect in 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi-do from 9 p.m. tonight.
