The government has offered its condolences to the Chinese government over the earthquake in China's Tibet Autonomous Region that killed many people yesterday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it sent a condolence message to Chinese President Xi Jinping under the name of acting President Choi Sang-mok to convey a message of sympathy to the Chinese government and the people.

In addition, Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol also sent a condolence message to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to express his condolences to the victims of the earthquake.

At the same time, the Chinese government and the people joined forces to hope that the disaster will be resolved as soon as possible.
