Civic groups such as candlelight vigils gathered near their official residence and urged the government to immediately arrest and dismiss President Yoon and thoroughly investigate allegations of rebellion.
He then emphasized that the bodyguard escorting President Yoon is also an accomplice, and that the bodyguard chief and others who blocked the execution of the first warrant should be punished.
On the other hand, anti-impeachment groups such as the New Freedom Alliance held a rally on the other side and countered that President Yoon should not be arrested.
He also argued that the emergency martial law was a legitimate decision by President Yoon and that the arrest warrant issued by the court was invalid.
