"Drug Distribution and Drug Administration" University District Federation Club Chairman's First Trial Sentenced to Prison

The chairman of the club, who is accused of distributing and administering drugs at a drug union club at a prestigious university, was sentenced to prison in the first trial.

The Seoul Southern District Court sentenced Mr. Yeom, in his 30s, to three years in prison for violating the Narcotics Control Act and ordered him to complete drug addiction rehabilitation education and sexual violence treatment programs for 40 hours, respectively.

In addition, Lee, a club executive in his 20s, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison and four years of probation.

The court explained that the nature of the crime was not good considering the types of drugs used by Yeom and others.Mr.

Yum and others were arrested and charged with selling and administering drugs to club members for a year from the end of 2022.

Earlier, the court sentenced two members of the club charged with Yeom to two and a half years in prison and three years of probation, and also sentenced a doctor accused of purchasing and administering drugs from Yeom to one year and two years of probation.
