Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to inject budget for biggest discount event ever compared to Lunar New Year holiday

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has decided to hold the "Korea Fisheries Exhibition - Lunar New Year Special Exhibition" from today to the 2nd of next month and invest the largest Lunar New Year discount event budget ever.

Forty-five retailers, including marts and online malls across the country, hold discount events for fisheries competitions, with 2,106 stores participating based on offline stores.

To stabilize prices, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries plans to supply 11,000 tons of stockpiled seafood and issue mobile gift certificates worth 8 billion won at a 20% discount.

In addition, an Onnuri gift certificate refund event will be held from the 23rd to the 27th, where up to 30% of domestic seafood purchases can be returned with gift certificates.
