[Weather] At the peak of the cold wave, ramen and water bottles...heavy snow on the west coast

The strongest cold wave is raging this winter.

YTN reporters have been delivering weather here in Gwanghwamun, Seoul since early in the morning.

The water bottle that I took out outside around 5 a.m. is now frozen, so even if I turn it over like this, the water doesn't drop at all.

We also frozen ramen.

Within four hours of putting it outside, it froze as if it were a model.

The weather is this cold today.

Even in the middle of the day, the wind chill is expected to remain around minus 15 degrees Celsius.

You should pay special attention to keeping warm with the warmest coat.

The cold spell reached its peak this winter, with a strong chill moving south from the northwest overnight.

As a result, the "Hanpa Special Report" has also been expanded and strengthened throughout the country, including Seoul.

The coldest place in the country this morning was Mt. Seorak in Gangwon-do, an unofficial record, but it plummeted to minus 25.1 degrees Celsius.

Other regions have also broken their lowest temperatures this winter.

It will be cold all day even in the middle of the day today.

Mid-day temperatures in Seoul will remain at minus 8 degrees, Cheongju at minus 5 degrees, and Jeonju at minus 4 degrees.

The wind chill will be between minus 10 degrees and minus 15 degrees.

Sporadic snow is falling around the west coast and Jeju Island in the cold wave.

From the 6th to the present, Jeonbuk has already reached a maximum of 30cm,

In Chungcheong and Jeollanam-do, a lot of snow of about 10cm fell and accumulated.

In particular, there is a 'heavy snow warning' on the west coast of Honam, where strong snow is concentrated.

Other Honam, the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do, and the mountainous areas of Jeju are under heavy snow warnings.

Up to 30cm or more in the mountains of Jeju by tomorrow, 20cm or more in Jeonbuk,

The west coast of Chungnam and Jeonnam will also receive heavy snow of up to 15cm.

Please be careful not to damage facilities such as the collapse of the greenhouse.

Until tomorrow, this fierce cold wave will continue.

It will gradually ease from the day after tomorrow, the weekend.

For the time being, snow is expected to fall frequently on the west coast of Honam and Jeju Island.
