With the Lunar New Year approaching, the price of the shopping cart is unusual.

In response, the government has decided to support discounts on agricultural, livestock and fisheries products worth KRW 90 billion.

It also plans to supply 16 major Lunar New Year holy goods at 265,000 tons, the largest ever.

It is a traditional market in Sindang-dong, Seoul, three weeks before the Lunar New Year holiday.

As the holiday approaches, consumers who shop for vegetables are worried.

[Mitter / Sindang-dong, Seoul: I'm worried because the Lunar New Year is coming up. It goes up a lot. I think it'll be okay if you sell it at this price point all the way.]

They are cabbage and radish, which are the main Lunar New Year's holy goods.

The price of cabbage and radish jumped 70% and 88% from a year ago as production decreased due to sluggish crop conditions due to last summer's heatwave.

Fruit prices, which are usually raised on Lunar New Year's Day, are also strong.

times storage has decreased due to sunburn damage, and the price has jumped nearly 30% from last year.

Accordingly, the government said it will supply 265,000 tons of 16 major Lunar New Year products, including cabbage, radish, pear and beef, for three weeks until the 27th.

It's 1.5 times the usual, which is the largest scale ever.

In particular, to replace the demand for pears in short supply, the government decided to increase supply by applying low tariffs to 10 imported fruits such as bananas, oranges, and mangoes by the first half of this year.

At the same time, the government has decided to support a discount on agricultural, livestock and fisheries products worth KRW 90 billion, the largest ever.

The government also decided to increase the amount of on-site refunds for Onnuri gift certificates to 27 billion won.

The discount rate for digital Onnuri gift certificates will be raised to 15% by the 10th of next month, and 15% of digital payments will be refunded to digital gift certificates up to 80,000 won per person during this period.
