China Expected to Move 9 Billion Lovers During Spring Festival

Chinese authorities predict that 9 billion people will move during the Lunar New Year holiday this year.

China's National Development and Reform Commission said this year's "Chunje Special Transport Period" will last for 40 days from the 14th to the 22nd of next month.

In particular, the number of people traveling by private car reached 7.2 billion, 80% of the total, and highway traffic is expected to be the highest ever.

Rail and civil air passenger transportation is expected to exceed 510 million and 90 million, respectively.

China also observed a movement of 9 billion people per year during the spring and winter last year, with the actual movement being about 8.42 billion.
