Riot Games announced today (9th) the venue for the League of Legends (LoL) e-sports international competition, which will be held from 2025 to 2027. In Korea, the first stand tournament (hereinafter referred to as First Stand Tournament), an international competition newly established in 2025, the mid-season invitational (hereinafter referred to as MSI) in 2026, and the 2027 World Championship will be held.

First, the "First Stand Tournament," a new international competition, will be held at Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul from March 10 to 16, 2025. The competition will feature the top teams in each region's Split 1 grade, and the "Peerless Draft" will be applied. The "Pierris Draft" is a new banpick rule in which champions selected from the existing set cannot be used again in multi-faceted games. The winning team's region will secure one more direct ticket to the 2025 'MSI' tournament stage.

After that, the "MSI" will be held in Vancouver, Canada from June 27 to July 12, 2025. In the same year, the 'World Championship' will be held in Beijing (play-in, Swiss stage), Shanghai (quarterfinals, semifinals), and Chengdu (final). A total of 17 teams will participate in the "World Championship," and the rest week between the quarterfinals and the semifinals is expected to disappear, making it even fiercer.

In 2026, the 'First Stand Tournament' will be held in Brazil, the 'MSI' will be held in Korea, and the 'World Championship' will be held in North America. In 2027, "First Stand" will be held in Southeast Asia, "MSI" in Europe, and "World Championship" in Korea.
