'Civil War' Police Leadership, Former Minister Kim Yong-hyun's Tribunal Heard

Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and former Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner Kim Bong-sik, who were indicted on charges of rebellion, will be tried in the same court as former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun.

The Seoul Central District Court today (9th) allocated the cases of Cho and Kim, who were indicted on charges of critical civil war missionary work, to the 25th Division of Criminal Agreement.

If a related case is received, it is in accordance with the court rule that it can be allocated to the same court as the case allocated first.

Commissioner Cho and others are accused of mobilizing a police task force to block the outskirts of the National Assembly under the direction of President Yoon Suk Yeol at the time of the emergency martial law, and of being involved in the operation of an arrest team for major politicians such as Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea.
