A group of people who repeatedly assaulted the intellectually disabled for a year and stole wages have been put on trial.

The Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office arrested and indicted A in his 20s on charges of joint blackmail and joint assault.

Mr. A is accused of forcing Mr. B in his 20s to deliver around February 2021 and taking away about 30 million won in wages.

Mr. A claimed to have 'protected the victim', but the prosecution secured statements from those involved and arrested Mr. A.

In addition, A's ex-wife, who participated in the crime and stole about 3 million won in basic living expenses, was also indicted without detention.
