The special investigation team of the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency, which investigates the emergency martial law incident, recently summoned Shin Won-sik, head of the National Security Office, to investigate.

The police special team said yesterday (7th) that Director Shin attended as the accused and was investigated.

Director Shin is a participant in a meeting of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's resolution support room presided over by President Yoon Suk Yeol at the time of martial law, and the police seem to have confirmed what role Director Shin played in the martial law process.

The police are also coordinating the investigation schedule with Presidential Chief of Staff Chung Jin-seok, and the presidential office earlier issued a statement saying that its aides were not aware of the declaration of martial law in advance and had never participated in the plot.
