The ruling and opposition parties exchanged loud cries and jeers at the National Assembly's urgent pending questions on the issue of declaring emergency martial law and the impeachment trial of the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.

People's Power lawmakers argued that the martial law investigation and impeachment trial are proceeding in a hasty manner for the early presidential bid of Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung.

On the other hand, Democratic Party lawmakers strongly criticized President Yoon for not responding to the execution of arrest warrants by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.
