The survey was conducted on companies that bid for construction projects worth more than 100 million won ordered by the province.
Ineligible construction companies have no construction capacity, which causes unfair trade such as illegal subcontracting, license lending, and on-site agents not being deployed.
Since October 2019, the province has strictly investigated offices, technical personnel, and capital when bidding for construction projects ordered by Gyeonggi-do Province, and has taken administrative measures, exclusion of bidding, and criminal charges against companies that do not meet the registration standards.
As a result, the bid rate was down 36.2% last year compared to 2019.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government has been conducting a preliminary public bidding survey since July 2021 and Chungcheongnam-do since January 2022.
