AI antigen detected at a breeder farm in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province

A highly pathogenic AI antigen was detected at a meat breed farm in Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province.

Chungcheongnam-do said yesterday (9th) that it received a report of death from the farm and conducted a detailed examination to confirm the H5 antigen.

The quarantine authorities buried 35,000 meat breeders raised on the farm and set up a 10-kilometer quarantine team to conduct detailed inspections of 12 poultry farms.

In addition, 15 cities and counties in Chungcheongnam-do and neighboring cities of Pyeongtaek and Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, ordered a 24-hour temporary suspension of related livestock facilities and vehicles.

The high pathogenicity of AI antigens detected on the farm is expected to come out as early as tonight (10th).
