The party's Yoon Seok-yeol's investigation team held a press conference at the National Assembly and released a related official document on October 29 last year, saying that former commander Lee toured the Yeouido substation, which supplies power to the National Assembly at all times.
The purpose stated in the official document is to visit facilities for integrated defense, and the investigation team added that there has been no military training in the Yeouido substation for the past five years.
At the time, former commander Lee said he meticulously checked the power supply of the surrounding facilities if the facilities were hit by substation employees along with the first security commander and the military police chief.
Citing that President Yoon did not cut off the electricity when he insisted on "warning martial law," he argued that he was lying because he thought it was meaningless after receiving an answer that the National Assembly had its own supply system.
The investigation team also raised suspicions that former commander Lee has been preparing for martial law by forming a "Guardian TF" since February, earlier than March last year, which was listed in the prosecution's indictment.
