DC United officially announced on its website, "I signed Kim Jun-hong, who played in Jeonbuk in the K League 1."
The contract term is three years through 2027 and includes a one-year contract extension option.
Kim Jun-hong, who made his professional debut with Jeonbuk in 2021, has been attracting attention as the next goalkeeper for playing 46 games in five seasons and recording a "clean sheet" that does not give a point in 20 games.
Kim Joon-hong, who returned to Jeonbuk after being discharged from Gimcheon Sangmu in the middle of last season, played in 34 games and achieved 15 clean sheets and 63 saves.
DC United, based in Washington, DC, USA, won four MLS Cups, three U.S. Open Cups, and one North American Football Federation Champions Cup.
