The U.S. Supreme Court rejected Trump's emergency request to postpone the sentencing trial by a 5-4 decision among nine justices.
As a result, Judge Juan Merchant of Manhattan Criminal Court in New York is expected to sentence Trump today as scheduled.
Judge Merchant allowed Trump to attend the trial face-to-face.
The sentence will take place just 10 days before Trump's inauguration.
Earlier, Judge Merchant confirmed that Trump was guilty, but hinted at a plan to sentence him to "unconditional release" in consideration of complex constitutional issues in the event of a conflict between the president's term and punishment.
Just before the 2016 presidential election, Trump was indicted on charges of manipulating related company accounting records by handing over $130,000 and 190 million won to former adult movie star Stormy Daniels to prevent past sexual intercourse revelations, and was convicted by a jury in May on all 34 charges.
