The Seoul Central District Court has decided to hold the first trial preparation date for Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and former Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner Kim Bong-sik at 10 a.m. on the 6th of next month.
They used a police task force to block the outskirts of the National Assembly under the direction of President Yoon Suk Yeol at the time of the emergency martial law. He is accused of trying to take out the Central Election Commission server by participating in forming an arrest group for major politicians.
The trial preparation date is a procedure for confirming the defendant's position on criminal charges prior to a formal trial and establishing an evidence investigation plan, and unlike the formal trial, the defendant is not obligated to attend court.
