Choi urged the medical community to engage in dialogue with the government and said returning to dialogue would allow for flexible discussions on the scale of expanding medical school capacity in 2026 at zero base.

Related ministries, such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Military Manpower Administration, centered on the Deputy Prime Minister of Social Affairs, should actively consider related measures so that teachers and medical students in their majors can return. The government will steadily pursue healthcare reform. However, in this process, we will not neglect our efforts to persuade and consult with people with different opinions. The medical community is also essential for the people, and please actively participate in discussions on medical reform that strengthens local medical care and dialogue for medical normalization.

The government once again proposes the medical community to participate in the conversation. If the medical community participates in the conversation and discusses it, the government will be able to flexibly discuss the scale of expanding the number of medical schools in 26 years at zero base.
