[Daegu] Hong Joon Pyo invited to Trump inauguration...a consultation on the U.S. schedule

Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo will attend the inauguration ceremony on the 20th with the invitation of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

Daegu City officials said Hong met privately with Paul Manafort, a close aide of Trump, in Seoul on the 7th and was invited to the inauguration, dinner and parade, and is discussing flights and accommodation.

Mayor Hong reportedly emphasized the theory of inter-Korean nuclear balance to Manafort and talked about the need for independent nuclear armament.

Manafort is considered a close aide to Trump, including serving as the head of the camp's election headquarters when Trump was elected in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
